2.0 liter?



The ABA is a 2.0 L 8V engine from the Golf or Jetta III. The later
engine in the Golf/Jetta IV/New Bettle has a shorter block, shorter rods
and a cast crank and is generally regarded as not being a good basis for
a performance engine.
But, if you're looking for 16V stuff then none of this matters.
I do like the part about changing the engine to "meet emissions or
economy tests"!
