Yes, but.

In that case I:

1. Reused the old bolts instead of new ones &

2. Didn't use a torque wrench (of which I still don't own yet).


This most recent time I have cleaned the crank threads with brake
cleaner just prior to, used the brand new bolts I got with the clutch
kit (Thx Potter Mon), applied additional locktite to augment the
existing stuff on the new bolts, and observed butt dyno (oops I mean
elbow dyno) torque procedures via locked crank vs 1/2" breaker bar
movement arm unit conversion. <puff>, <puff>, <whew>.

Last time that new clutch had just been put in I immediately tore ass
across the Sierra Mountains and most of Nevada in 100 degree heat. Bet
the front axle nut wasn't the only thing that worked free.

Motor is currently suspended over the engine bay, ready to tie axles on
and hook up electricals/ gas supply.
