ACK! Pistons reversed!



Are VW bores circular? I know bmw have slightly elliptical bores so when
everything is torqued down the deflections create a circular bore...  point
being, is it possible to rotate the piston 180 degrees while still in the
cylinder? I don't know, maybye and I expect the ellipsoidal variations, even
in the BMW, are insignificant compared to the play afforded by the rings...
something to think about...
