Haltech install questions.

ok all, here's my story so far...
I'm in the middle of an EFI conversion that has taken 6 freakin' =
months and was supposed to be done in April. Now it's July and I still =
haven't driven my car since last fall when I put it away. Here's what's =
left to do and the questions I have for ya'all....
oh, I'm using a Haltech F9a standalone system for efi, 16v stock 1.8 =
motor..
1. Throttle body TPS. I've heard that I can use an auto passat TB and =
just throw my switches on there. Do I really need the switches? Can I =
just go to a MSD 6a and dump the knock sensor setup? I don't really =
want to do this right now, I like the idea of the knock sensor box =
taking care of timing for me and I've invested alot of time in making =
the knock box stand alone, but in for the sake of simplicity, I'll dump =
it in a heartbeat.
2. Coolant sensor....anybody using haltech out there? I need to know =
how you setup your temp sensor. I cannot find a good way to plug in the =
haltech sensor, and I don't know if the stock vw sensors are compatible =
with the haltech.
3. Oxygen sensor: I haven't even looked at this thing yet...I'm going to =
run open loop for simplicity's sake for now. How do I use this thing =
for the A/F ratio? Will the stock O2 sensor work with all these =
aftermarket AF gages or what? Any recomendations for AF gages?
4. Fuel maps...anybody got a good one for the Haltech for my motor or is =
everyone running SDS like a sane person would?
Please help, guys....I'm desperate to get this damn thing running again =
and get on the road. I know my questions are a little vague, but I just =
got done fighting with the lawn mower and its 90 freakin' degrees =
out.....
