vibrating steering wheel

Well i have this problem with my steering wheel. It
wiggles! Its not a problem of shaking because of
engine vibrations. Its more likely the steering wheel
and the column are no longer making full contact. Is
there anyway I can solve this problem, short of buying
a new steering wheel?
