That seems like a pretty strange combination to me. Yes, the Ti retainers
will reduce weight, but to go with those without going with some HD springs
isn't an alternative to using HD springs. The HD springs are used to make
room for higher lobed cams that would cause stock springs to bind up. Since
the HD springs have fewer windings in them, they need to have a higher
spring rate, and that alone would actually decrease the output of your motor
(because they actually create more resistance.) So, using Ti spring
retainers is a way to gain some of that back since they weigh less than the
stock spring retainers.

Using Ti spring retainers with your stock springs could give you minimal
gains since your motor will be spinning less weight, but they in no way will
eliminate the need for HD springs...if that's what you need in the first
place. If you're just running a euro cam, I don't see the need for the HD
springs in the first place.
