Newbie Questions (long)

Well I got my $800 eBay 16V on the road thanks to a lister that sold me an
agb tranny for a great price and now a few more issues have popped up.  When
the car idles (around 800 RPM) the dash and steering wheel shake like hell.
If you blip the throttle and take it just off idle it calms down.  When I
pulled the tranny I noticed that the rubber insert is the font mount was
cracked but I didn't have a replacement so I had to put it back in.  Is this
the source of my vibration?

Another thing that is weird is sometimes the clutch pedal doesn't come back
up (new clutch and flywheel).  It will move enough to engage the clutch but
you have to pull the pedal up with your foot.  The car is an 87 and appears
to have the self adjusting cable.  Does it need to be replaced or should I
just try to lube it.

This morning when I was in the car the throttle stuck while I was in 5th
gear.  I pulled over and moved the linkage back with my hand and it felt
stiff and gummy.  I know there was a thread about cleaning something with
carb cleaner for a better idle, is this the part I need to go after?  Any
other tips while I am in there?  Thanks.
