the Passat motor fits no problem. I have done the install 3 times with more 
on my schedule. The only fittiment problems are if you try to use the Passat 
side injection that makes it more difficult. Also there are no readily 
available stress bars that clear the 16v intake in a MK1. On my car I did 
have to clearance the hood ever so slightly where the throttle body linkage 
hit a support rib. You will need to find a scirocco 16v exhaust manifold.
