CA Smog issues



Dude,

That's TOTAL BS. Go to a different shop. In Northern CA, I've got a brand
new cat welded into a 16V car for $200-250. Now that isn't a hi-flow
performance cat if there is such a thing, but they don't have to put in a
whole new down pipe. Any reputable muffler shop can cut out your cat and
weld in a new one. If you don't want to do that, order a new unit from
Techtonics. I think those are only about $400 and you could probably install
it yourself.
