  that kind of power is totally possible for a race engine. no doubt =
about it.=20
  i personally saw, briefly drove and crewed for a '76 gt4 rabbit that =
had 188 dynoed wheel horse (at around 7k) out of its NA 1.6L 8v. the car =
ran a number of seasons without a rebuild or DNF and is still going =
strong.=20

  Its entirely possible for a motor in race trim like that with frequent =

  rebuilds on the cards to make that power. Back in 98-99 I belive the =
Audi A4=20
  BTCC car had 290 HP with a rules mandated rev limit of 8500 its peak =
power=20
  was at 8200. The motor used was of course the VW 2.0 16v that was =
actually=20
  destroked yet bored to 85mm and I hear the head barely resembles the =
original=20
  (lots of welding to reshape the air passages) . One more thing when it =
says=20
  it uses Bosch Motronic its not the same stuff we get on street cars, =
its the=20
  programmable stuff, for instance the Audi R8R uses Motronic too.=20

  Jasin=20
