I put a Corbeau Forza in my 88, and it wouldn't fit at all with the sliders in
place.  Fortunately without the sliders its fit (barely), and was in the right
position for me.  You would really have to mount it on the actual floor somehow
to get it to work well, and that would require a lot of cutting.
