120 Amp alternator

Amps are drawn, not supplied.  Volts are supplied.  The device being
operated does the drawing of amps, and the wiring has to be sufficient
for that load.  In other words, in a stock car, you can add a 500 Amp
alternator (or a 1.21 Gigawatt flux capacitor) with not one change one
wire and everything will be hunky-dory.  Now...if you had some huge
draw like a massive stereo, then you have to have bigger wiring to
support it.
