120 Amp alternator

I thought I was the only one silly enough to do the
full dynamat treatment in my 'rocco.

I started it about 2 years ago, then finally finished
around X-Mas when I got some new components for the
front doors.

It's amazing how much difference it makes - you can
actually have a conversation at a normal volume...

Besides - putting 60lbs of speakers in the trunk helps
to even out the weight distribution ;)

I've got my 60amp alternator running over 1K watts,
and I have had no problems. YMMV, especially running
a 16v that probalby has a lot more power options than
mine. My stereo doesn't even dim when I have the
headlights on and the bass hits....

On a non-roc related question, a friend of mine has a
90ish golf. We put a Blaupunkt (those new Heidelbergs
are freakin NICE) in his car, but now you have to
wiggle the key in the ignition to get the door buzzer
(and radio) to kick on. Any cheap ways to fix it?

Thanks
Mark
