this might be the last straw



Providing that it is the Original facotry installed crank and it was never modified in any way, Allyn
is completly correct.  Take that thing to your nearest VW stealership and tell them you got a defective
crank, show them the evidence and get a new engine outta the deal.  Not sure how smooth that will go
since VWoA is is the largest PITA to their enthusiasts as a company can be.  But there should definitly
be some compensation involved.  Be sure to take pictures of the crank just for your records as well as
shots of the head and any other damaged area's.
