OK - I realize it's near impossible to diagnose from here, but your =
insight is being sought:

I bought a new alarm to replace the old POS (which I didn't install and =
don't know who did). The only thing I'm having trouble with is the =
Central Locking System. My interpretation of the Bently diagram is that =
a 10A current to either the "lock" or "unlock" pole will actuate the =
system in the appropriate direction. However, the previous install has =
relays for the keyless entry portion. Don't see any fuses inline so I'm =
a bit curious as to why the relays are necessary...

The new alarm provides full-current positive switched outputs as well as =
the provision for a low-current (300 mA) positive switched output but =
requires relays. Which route am I supposed to go?

I'm no electrical engineer, but I do have a decent grasp of =
electrophysics. So fire away.

As always, TIA for your help, JT
