oil buzzer

Hey thanks for the put some oil in jokes......ha ha ha...It's a dash =
short so I'm trying to find out what I can do to get rid of the dash =
short. If I give it a good smack, it stops. It comes back =
intermittently. It starts to buzz once it hits 2900 rpm and stays on =
till I shut the car off or give it a shot. Any ideas?
