5spd tranny geared wierd ('84 )

I agree. I had a 85 with a 9A that I was driving 50 miles a day to and from
work. Traffic around the outer belt of Columbus will move around 75/80 on a
dry day. 4000 rpm for extended periods gets annoying. Plus at that speed
the car would only get around 26 mpg. Before I found out we were going to
have another child I was going to put a diesel 5th in to bring the revs
down.

Since my wife and I decided I should start picking the kid(s) up at daycare
I sold it and bought a 240 Volvo. It's turning around 2800 RPM on the
freeway. I don't know how fast I'm going though, as I wired up the dash
wrong when doing some work on it and now the speedo only goes to 30 and then
stops.

I do miss driving the 85, but no way was I going to get 2 kids in and out of
it everyday.
