speedometer cable removal

Doug,

No, dont just yank on it.  The spedo gear is attached to the cable with a 
shotty little clip that likes to let go.  If you just yank it, you will have 
a plastic spedo gear in the tranny.  Put the car in gear and rock the car 
back and forth a few times... then try it agian. If it still doesnt work, 
start the car, drive it forward, then shut it off and try again... sometimes 
they just get meshed with the gears pretty good.  Good luck.
