Intro

Hi T Berk;
    Funny you should mention Cincinnati. I have an 80 Scirocco bone stock
with an automatic, A/C and a 1600 engine. I'm working on the electric's now
and will have it ready to go by the first of the year. It has NO RUST PERIOD
and the interior is good. I will be looking to sell it ready to drive
anywhere. If it doesn't sell here I have to go east sometime after the
first of the year and I'm considering putting a couple of stub axles in it
and towing it behind my 81 Rabbit 1600 Turbo diesel pickup to New Castle
Indiana. My wives cousin has a big shop there where they build drag cars
( Chevy and Ford ) and I'm sure he would put it on display there. I figure
if there is a totally rust free 80 Scirocco setting for sale in New Castle
Indiana there would be a lot of potential buyers from the salt states
willing to go there and salivate. I'm not sure many people want an automatic
but if one has a 16 valve MK 2 Scirocco it shouldn't be much more trouble to
install the 5 speed shift rods and the pedal cluster when you throw your
close ratio tranny and 16 valve in for grins.
    By the way I get to SF Bay area often My Mother lives in Pinole and my
brother and sister in Rodeo. I will probably be down shortly after
Christmas.
