which type of engine/block heater?

The engine block heater type that uses a freeze plug in the back of the
block is the only thing used up north.

Cheers.

Objet : which type of engine/block heater?

Hey all, I plan on getting a heater for my 8v this winter. So far I've seen
three types: the oil pan heater, the engine block heater(the kind that goes
into the block through a freeze plug hole), and a coil-like thing that you
install in your lower radiator hose. Any opinions on which of these is
best, and for what reasons? How much of a bitch is it to install the
block-heater type? Thanks in advance-
Rob
