Battery relocation (was Re: car stereo install accessories)

 If you look in your trunk, right below the tail lights (inside), you will see several square holes with plastic clips stuck through them to hold on the bumper cover (I think that's what they were for).  I replaced a coulpe of these clips with ~2" long bolts.  I used these to bolt a decent piece of wood to the back of the car.  I then built a box around the battery using this piece of wood as a base.  If anyone has a site to which I can post it, I'll go take some pictures.  Worked out really well.  Battery is very secure.  Note:  Mine is an Optima type (licensed from them and made by Champion), so I don't have it in a box, but this method should be adaptable to boxes.
