5, count 'em, 5 gears in my '77 now!

Swapped out the tranny in the '77 rocc for a later FN 5-spd, and while I
was there I threw in TT tuning's three-position short shift kit and bushings.
After getting everything swapped and lined up, it feels great! The clutch
feels more sure, shifting is swift and solid, no stirring for gears! I ran
out of silicone grease, so there are a few busings left that need to be
lubed, and I need the shifter ball and socket (lots of movement at the
shifter!) bushings, but what a world of difference!
Down side, it's basically the same gear set as the 4-spd, with an
overdrive, really tall set for the little 1.6. good for flats and downslopes,
lousy up hills. Time for a bigger motor!

I think if I ever do another 4/5-spd conversion, I'll nail my hand to a
table first! : )

Other stuff; found a set of swaybars on an '89 cabriolet at a local
Pick-n-Pull. For $20, they are mine to install on the rocco.
Problem I can see right now though is that on the rocco, the fuel lines are
routed right behind the passenger side control arm, where the front sway bar
mounts up. What do I need to do to avoid crushing the fuel lines and yet
still mount the bar?
