2.0 16v intermediate shaft



Two bearings are in there.   Not very expensive and if the block has been
hot tanked,.. (chemically cleaned),...   then you need to replace them.  A
machine shop can do it for you unless you have a bearing puller.  (Usually
you get two "pullers" when you buy this tool ....  one is about 8 inches
long and the other about 12-14 inches long.)   You can knock them out with a
bearing driver but installing the rear one with this tool is impossible
without an extra long handle.   Your best bet is to pay the $10 or so to a
machine shop and have them put in for you.
