VW related Jetta 2000 Non turbo 4cylinder

You need inward pressure and turning to make it happen. Sometimes a lot of
pressure. I made a tool for the job. It's a 2" piece of 3/8" square stock
with a shallow 1/4" hole drilled in the center of one end. Place the plain
end of the tool in your Allen socket like it was the ratchet. Now with a 2
arm wheel puller you can exert pressure inward while turning the 3/8" bar
stock. If you don't have a wheel puller try a large "C" clamp.

Good luck,
