Was Racing Seats now Oval Track Racing

Yeah, but for oval track racing you have to set the car up to drift. I
agree as my scirocco can out handle most anything I come across. Except if
you are racing the car lap after lap on an oval you will have to get your
car set up to drift to make it go fast. If you over cook it and hit the
brakes with that setup the car is going to get light in the ass and rotate
into the wall. If you overcook the corner in the RWD drivecar it better
basic balance will give you larger window to catch the car and drive it out
of the slide. The limits on the RWD might not be as high as the fwd but it
is lots easier to drive in that situation. I can outrun 98% of the cars at
the Auto-x course and from experience I can tell you that if you go into a
corner too hot and hit the brakes or let off the gass the car will spin or
plow straight ahead. The rwd has a better weight balance and gives you more
options in bad situations.

I guess what I'm trying to say is that RWD cars are easier to drive (tend to
slide) at the very limit (as in racing extremes) tha a FWD car as the FWD is
less forgiving (tend to spin) due to its awkward weight balance. The
limits of the car are another story.

Some rear wheel drive cars don't hadle badly either actually. None of the
VW's could beat fiat X-19's, Mazda RX3's or even a Toyata Hotruck from the
70's when all these cars were classed in DSP together a few years ago.
