has anyone shipped seats before?

Would that be me?

Actually, I shipped the non-split rear seats and door
cards in one box, and one disassembled seat in another
box. I sent the driver's seat as checked luggage on
the flight home to FL. :) The shipping cost for the
BIG box and the passenger seat was somewhere around
$75.

I also shipped Corrado front seats from FL to
somewhere in the midwest. I sent one box of seat backs
and one box of seat bottoms. Don't remember the exact
price, but it was somewhere around $50-60. FedEx
Ground seems to have the best rates for shipping
big/heavy stuff. Two rules: Keep it within the max
size (absolute requirement), and keep it below 70lbs
(cost skyrockets over 70lbs). Do this, and you can
ship anything for $15-$35/box. Oversize (like body
kits) or overweight packages (like trannies) either
cost a fortune or FedEx Ground simply won't ship it.
