A question about Recaros

A few of the questions on the list prompt me to ask this:

To anyone with Recaros in their Scirocco: How high do the sit in a
MkII?

The reason I ask, is because I really want some better seats in my
'88 16V, but I am 6'4", and if the seat rides any higher than the
factory seats, my head will hit the ceiling anytime I go over a bump!
I know there are different brackets out there, and was just planning
to get the ones Recaro sells, but if there is a lower version, then
please let me know.

Optimally, I would like something that mounts even lower than the
factory seat, but as long as it is no higher it will be fine. I would
hate to drop over a grand on seats, just to find that I could no
longer ride in my own car!







The goal is to overcome the deliberate nature of the process.
