RE: programmable engine management

I spoke with Electromotive today and they gave me the details about how the
TEC systems work. First off, the system can work on either MAP, throttle
position, or a blend of both. In the latter case, one can set the rpm
breakpoints where the system transitions from one to the other. The amount
of authority that one input has over the other can also be set. The tech
also explained that throttlebodies are commonly controlled with MAP without
a problem.

TEC also makes great use of the O2 sensor for tuning and for steady state
operation (cruise and idle). Like the MAP and TPS, the EGO (exhaust gas
oxygen) function is complete mappable. Sampling time and authority to make
specified amounts of corrections are adjustable.

This is a tweeker's dream! Heh heh.
