Maybe you could adapt the brake booster from an Audi 5000 turbo (I think
it's called a 200 in Europe).  From looking at my '84 5000 turbo parts car,
it looks like it should bolt up without too much work.  The brake booster
works off of the power steering pump instead of using vacuum.
