crack header

Hello,


I have a 1985 Scirocco 8v and she has a cracked
header.... I don't really like headers to begin with
but it came on the car. My question is will a 1986 mk2
Golf (GX cis) exhaust manifold fit??? I have the golf
manifold just laying around and was wondering if it
would work versus trying to locate a rocco
manifold/downpipe.

I know this is two different platforms (mk1 vs mk2)
but the powersteering on the rocco is leaking....
BAD!!! I prefer manual steering and I have a whole
rack from the mk2 golf (86 GX engine)will this fit or
do I need to raid my friends bunny while he is outta
town? Or can I convert it to manual steering without
swaping racks??
