Jim,
I have a Sears Craftsman 1/2" drive electric impact wrench.  Works great.  I 
use it primarily to remove the axle nuts and backing off the strut nuts.  
Never had a problem.  You do have to wait a while on the axle nuts though, 
just keep on it and they eventually loosen.
