there really isn't much you can do about that. at least in my area most of 
the cars on the road are SUV's snd they would just go right overtop of your 
bumpers. or in my case (lowered) i slid right under the rear bumper of a 
minivan, smashing my euro lights, and her tailpipe pulled the cover off my 
bumper. here's what it looks like now:
