If you were to read on you would have noticed that I did say exactly what
you just said. My point is if we want to have a reputation or not. I
don't, and (believe it or not) I reccomend this list to every Scirocco owner
that I meet and isn't on the list already. Other than that, I would like to
see acurate information!! Who doesn't!! And if there is innacurate
information, I would hate to see someone apply that information after no one
corrected the post and end up acing their tranny or sticking a rod through
their block. Wouldn't you feel at least a LITTLE responsible if you were
the one giving the information? I would hope so!!

This fine line is starting to get very squiggly!!

Sorry, but accuracy does matter and is VITAL in most of the subjects we talk
about. Maybe I lost people in the length and I apologize but the reason for
my post was that if someone asks a question like "What is the stock timing
on a 84 8v Scirocco?", then the answer better be right or don't answer!!! I
am not talking about swaping "Ideas" about whether this airbox thingy majig
is gonna be affective or any kind of experimental stuff, only things that
should be factual since we all have manuals and the internet and mechanic
friends and, most importantly, common sense!!! This is the way the list has
always been (the 3 1/2 years I have been subscribed) and the only reason I
am saying anything about this is because I have seen a lot of sloppy
opinionated stuff stated as fact. And THAT, is unacceptable!!

You WILL be assimulated!!!! Resistance is Futile!!!
