Non-Roc: Coolant air bubble in 16v Passat

I just replaced the head gasket on my '90 Passat Wagon. 
The car is now running, but I'm guessing I have an air
bubble in the cooling system.  How can I get it out?  I'm
don't like having the coolant tank overflow now and then...
  leaves a BIG puddle.
