  I didn't catch the significance of the "Jetta" part until after I'd sent
the question.  I was hoping no one would catch my oversight, but, no, you

Its definately a MK1 Jetta - I'm loooking at it as i
write this.
Jetta cahnged to MK2 in 84 along with the Golf here.
