i made the I80 run from san fran to philly a few months ago for work 
(however not in the scirocco, in a freightliner century class sleeper cab) 
and it ws a pretty straight forward run, not too much construction (that may 
have changed by now though) just make sure you stop at the iowa 80 truckstop 
(more leather and chrome than you can shake a stick at, if that is your 
thing)
