Re: Tech...Euro Bumpers

Alright, here's the deal with those bars. Depending on if you want to
actually install them or not (on mine they didn't stop the bumper from
bending in a 5mph bumporama so I ditched the one in the rear).. you will nee
to loosen up the brackets again. These metal pieces should have plastic
inserts at the end which will hook up under a little slit on the side of the
bracket --> bolt the bracket down and the bar stays in place. There are also
the two plastic pieces which follow the curves of the inside which go
between the bar and the bumper right around the center.

HTH .. and in my opinion .. these seem to be worthless and don't really help
the stability etc as I saw on mine .. I will get rid of the front one too as
soon as I get the chance.

I'm really needing some help here folks@! I painted the new Euro's last
night to match my car....but still can't seem to figure out how to put these
damn things together. I got the brackets bolted up to the metal
reinforcements. (brackets being what bolts to the car.....reinforcements
being the metal *bumper* under the plastic "bumper*) I can see how the
plastic *bumper* clips on to the metal .....but I still have these two
pieces left over. They are metal. They are about 3 ft. long and ever so
slightly curved like the bumper. I *think* they are shims/bushings that
help the bumper hold its form. Maybe not? Either way I can't figure out
where the hell they go! Somebody please chime in here....I don't want to
have to take these bumpers back off the car to install these things.
Chris
