Re: stuck emergency actuating lever




It may be true that the Passat calipers are difficult to bleed
in that position, as I haven't tried it.  However, it is not
due to any ABS equipment.  My 92 Passat 16v, with the rear disc
brakes in question, is not so equipped with ABS.  Jim's 93
Passat VR6 wagen has ABS, and uses the same calipers.  The only
difference is that his car has a speed sensor, and a metal wire
cage that fits on the back side of the brake disc; which is what
the speed sensor counts as the little 'fingers' go whizzing by.
