(WAS) Re:Suspension advice wanted plz: (NOW) lowered cars andBoge's



Here is another data point.  I have Boge Turbos with my lowered 16v (H&R).  I originally bought them for my 8v over 3 years ago.  That car got killed and I transfered the shocks over to my 16v about 1 year ago.  The fronts blew out a few months ago and now I have Bilsteins to replace them.

I don't know if it was b/c the 16v is heavier up front and/or b/c the roads is Washington, DC are CRAAAP, but the front Turbos didn't last too long on the 16v.  All in all, I got about 3.5 -4 years out of the Turbos.

Go with stock shocks. Boges work just fine. I have the Turbogas shocks on
my GLi with lowering springs. They're fine for that. Go with the Progas
for your stock application.
