Car Thieves Revisited [OT as can be]

Well its a basic tenant of some eastern religions (or philosophies, whatever
you're comfortable with) that attachment is a bad thing. So if you're
attached to your $40,000 toys and they are stolen, its gonna hurt. If not,
you move on. But you KNOW that someone, somewhere is eventually gonna try
and steal shit like that. Then again, if you have that kind of dough to
dump into car toys, maybe it doesnąt matter to you. That kind of display of
materialism gets no sympathy from me - the dude will probably just buy more,
and get ripped off more.

Personally, I hate car alarms and would never buy one. I find that when they
go off, nobody pays attention. I love my 'roc, but I paid $400 for it, put
$1000 into it, and it has a detachable face cd player in it. What's to
steal? And if they do grab it, well, I'll move on. I've never been "into"
cars (dons flame suit), but I do love to keep this one running :-) Beats
the hell out of car payments or lease payments (see previous thread), hehe.

Sorry for the rant.
