Re: Refinishing euro bumpers



my dad and i repainted my bumpers.  (my dad owns a body shop btw...)  what
we did to ge the texture back, is take some of that spray in bed liner (ya
know you can get it at parts stores, the 3m stuff works great, and make sure
you get the textured stuff..) then what we did is let that dry completely,
and then wet-sanded it down, but not all the way so it still left the deep
craters in it.  then we shot them with red. (to match the car)  then lightly
set-sanded and buffed to a nice shine.  they still look great after 2 years,
and the texture is a perfect match to the original.  even when a stealership
tech looked at it, he didn't know the difference!  welp, i hope this helps,
i didn't read the whole tread so don't get mad at me if i reapeated
something that has already been said.
