All I have to say is "watch out for Ohio State Patrol". I got TOTALLY
hosed on a ticket there last summer on the way to WF. I went through a
laser trap in a group of rigs who slowed everyone down because they knew
the trap's location beforehand. I'm talking mobile chicane here - they
blocked everyone behind them. Anyways, I go thru the trap at the limit,
and then I resume normal cruising speed (140kph). About 5 minutes later, I
get pulled over and the cop claims he gunned me, with laser, at that trap,
doing 86miles an hour. And he claimed he still had the reading on his gun,
although I didn't check it myself. So then he tells me I owe him $106US
payable on the spot. I gave him my BCAA card, which he took as a bond -
AAA club members apparently can use their cards as bond in these
situations, and my BCAA card had the AAA logo on the back, so he took it.
Turns out they don't honor that AAA arrangement with OSP, so the Ohio AAA
chapter got screwed for the money. Tough shit for them.

Bottom line - Ohio State Patrol will target you if you have out of state
plates. And they WILL try to rip you off.
