Oil filter cooling fins

Any of you guys know anything about those heat fins you clamp to your oil
filter?  My Jetta doesn't have a cooler, and I'd like  to do something
for it, but I don't want to buy the full cooler setup because I dont'
race the car so I dont' think I need anything that extreme.  Are these
worth it for cooling the oil a couple degrees?
