RE: What needs a gauge? was: How much electric current?



I believe we already had this discussion a few months back  " what
gauge is in console in the scirocco through the years" and found that
the gauges changed from area in the world and through the years.... My
85 USA 8v came with an oil temp for example,
and sometimes they where a coolant temp gauges  etc... its just a
choice one a single gauge (MKII), the MKI have that 3 gauge paneling
already. it was an options on the MKII (see etka)

I still think it's silly that these cars came with an oil temp gauge
rather
than an oil pressure gauge.  Most other cars have oil pressure and
water
temp (with numbers on it, dammit!) for engine vitals.  The first thing
I did
on my car was get an oil pressure gauge because the stupid idiot
lights kept
going off.
