How much electric current?

Hi,

I'm going to install an amp meter in my dash.  There are 30, 60, and 90 ampere
models available from VDO.

What is a realistic range?  I'm guessing 30, but I could be mistaken.  I know
the alternator is capable of 90A, but I doubt it's pushing that much normally.

I have 100 watt high-beams and a modest stereo.
