RE: How much electric current?

Well if you have a 90A Alternator, then use a 90 amps gauge, then you
will have an accurate reading of what it produces.
I found that a Voltmeter was more tale-tell on what is going on with
your alternator/Battery than just amperage.
but that is just my personal (probably going to get flamed for it)
opinion.

Subject: How much electric current?

Hi,

I'm going to install an amp meter in my dash. There are 30, 60, and
90 ampere
models available from VDO.

What is a realistic range? I'm guessing 30, but I could be mistaken.
I know
the alternator is capable of 90A, but I doubt it's pushing that much
normally.

I have 100 watt high-beams and a modest stereo.
