Ragtop Removal? on 77 rocco.

Im trying to figure out the best route to taking out the ragtop..
looks like somebody riveted in some kind of chrome strips along the
outside of the ragtop on the sides, is it supposed to be like that??
or did some dumb ass do this?
also did they ever make a ragtop that is inaproble, mine has been glued
down and has those chrome strips that keep it from moving, any ideas???
but know back to original question how do i remove the whole assembly,
im trying to remove it for painting..
