RE: Ragtop Removal? on 77 rocco.



Along the back edge of rear of the top there are four screws that need to be
removed.  Once you take those out you can wrestle the top out of the tracks.
Then you will see that the front and rear frame parts are riveted to the
roof of the car.  Drill these out with a small bit so you dont punch bigger
holes in the sheet metal of the roof.  The side chrome guide channels are
held in with T-bolts that simple unscrew.  After you unscrew the guide
channels the bottom half will come off but the top will still be riveted to
the roof with two small rivets on each end.  Drill these out.

If you find that you need parts call a shop in LA called Sunroof Performers,
they should have all the parts to resotre the top and for about $300  can
recover the old vinyl top with canvas.
