Re: Elevating RPMS Culprit found?



when the temp adjust is left of the center 'notch', it uses the compressor more and more as you go
to the left. once left of the notch the idle is bumped up to compensate for the compressor. right of
the notch and there is no compressor use, so idle kicks back down.
with ignition on and fan in low (and one of the 'blue' climate control functions selected), moving
temp control to left of center notch should turn on rad fan (low speed) + compressor clutch
(assuming freon is in there) + increase idle (not noticed if compressor works) + click should be
heard from a relay in the fuse panel (umm, load something, i forget the name).
note: rad fan may go high speed based on a/c system pressures.
