RE: best rader/laser detector?

The best is supposedly the Valentine unit. I have a Whistler 1490
Radar/Laser Detector with Pulse protection and VG-2 detection/cloaking
capability. It also detects all Safety Radar signals. Of course, the police
can pace you and then you're screwed. I must say that my detector has paid
for itself 3 times that I can remember in the 4 years that I've owned it!
IMO any detector is worth what you pay for it because if it saves you once
or twice, it's paid for itself! My detector is hard-wired into my 'roc's
electrical system and every time I start the car, it's on and active.

...my 2 cents
